The Everyday Mindfulness
Who is this for?
Everyday Mindfulness makes mindfulness simple, easy and time efficient so that you can develop a regular short practice that will help you significantly improve your life. It is for people new and not so new to mindfulness who find it hard to prioritise or don't have the time to dedicate to lengthy practices but who still want to enjoy all the benefits it has to offer.
It is for those who are ready to dedicate 10 minutes to mindfulness 3 or 4 times a week.
Why? Because what you do regularly matters more than what you do every once in a while.
It is also for you if you:
want to feel more in control and better able to deal with life.
want to increase your attention span and be able to focus at work.
would like to feel calmer and have more patience.
have an feeling that there is more to life and that you could be happier but you don't know where to start.
Let me make mindfulness easy, convenient and do-able for you
I have read, studied and practiced mindfulness for the past 15 years. During that time I have trained with some of the leading experts, gone on retreats all over the world and held some of my own. I have also worked teaching 8 week mindfulness courses in the community, in companies and as 1:1's.
I am passionate about mindfulness as I can honestly say that it has changed my life! I know that can sound very OTT at times and it wasn't this sudden flash of light that came down and I was enlightened. Sitting lotus position, emanating love (wouldn't that be wonderful!) No, it was over time and with patience and commitment I found that old behaviours that didn't serve me well melted away, negative beliefs no longer held me captive and I wasn't a victim of my emotions (finally!)
The changes were incremental and yet they were very obvious once I became aware of them. I actually began to feel more comfortable within myself which I never thought possible having suffered with depression for most of my life. With that everything changed for the better.
So you see, I just LOVE this stuff! (sorry I get very excited!)
I have been teaching mindfulness for many years now and I saw people feeling a little sad and confused at the end of a course. They loved the regularity of meeting every week, having somewhere to go and practicing as a group. They weren't too optimistic about keeping a regular practice going.
I saw this and COVID 19 gave me the space to create and design a course that supports people to build their own practice whatever that looks like for them. Now I'm not suggesting that you have to practice every day rather the name is about helping you to bring mindfulness to the every day.
I wanted Mindfulness to be easy, accessible and convenient so that even the idea of doing a practice is easy rather than the heavy feeling of "how am I going to do 20 minutes!" or "I don't have time......"
That's why every meditation will be no more than 10 minutes long. No video will be more than 10 minutes long and neither will be any audio. We will start with the foundations.and from there we will cover many of the different principles like compassion, acceptance and the power of now among others. All in bite sized pieces (no lengthy handouts)
As we go I will share with you my little "everything I've ever done that works" insights, stories and more.
In this way my intention is to teach you a skill that you will use for the rest of your life.

"I always enjoy the remarkable sacred space you create for people. Your teachings are very informative. You make your pupils feel relaxed and you take a genuine interest in your students questions and progression. Thank you so very much."
— Rachel, Dublin
What will it do for you?
"Practising mindfulness made me realise that there is a level of calmness which most of us never get to experience in our daily lives because we don't know how to gain access to.
There are so many benefits to mindfulness, all of which have been widely reported. They range from helping people deal with depression to aiding recovery after illness. There have been many books and articles written on the subject and lots of scientific research that you can read.
I can't honestly promise what mindfulness will do for you. Different people experience different benefits at different time, but what I have seen and heard are a number of results. I've seen people become happier in their own skin which is incredible to witness. Gone is the incessant negative internal dialogue and instead there is a peacefulness, patience and calm.
I've seen other people become more confident and resilient due to knowing they have tools for dealing with life. I've also witnessed and personally experienced the relief when things no longer bother, the triggers are gone, leaving space to respond to situations and not react. And I've also seen people become more productive and focused at work. Then others tell me that it helps them to sleep and plenty of people use it to help with emotional eating.
So you see, there are so many benefits and I don't honestly know what you will experience, maybe it will be the above or maybe it will be more. All I do know is that with regular practice you will see benefits and I've added in reflection points to Everyday Mindfulness to help you to see what it's doing for you.
"Ellen's mindfulness course is life changing. It taught me self-compassion for the first time in my life - how to speak to myself like a good friend. It taught me the power of staying in the moment and the uselessness of worrying about things I cannot change. I'm so excited to have started my mindfulness journey and am more positive now about the road ahead"

"Loved the whole experience. It’s something I have always heard of but never got the chance to do it. It was great to be able to participate."
— Sarah, Dublin
After 10 years working as a Science graduate in IT (yes, that’s a story in itself!), I decided that it was time to do something a
little more meaningful.
I have worked in this field for over 14 years and I have been teaching mindfulness for the past 6 years. I have taught 8 week courses, held retreats and worked 1:1. I have worked in the corporate arena and in the community
I am passionate about mindfulness as it changed my life in a way I never thought possible and I know it can change yours also.
I created this programme, to make it as easy as I can for you to experience what I have and for mindfulness to be an ever giving gift and invaluable tool for life.
What other people have found.....
" I found the mindfulness course really beneficial and I think I will experience real health benefits from having taken it. It has taught me both how to, and the benefits of switching off from my busy life even if it is only 10 mins. I am sleeping better which is helping me deal with the stress of life and work.I would definitely take the course again if it were available"
